FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What Clients Were Curious About
WHAT IS COACHING?
The International Coach Federation (ICF) defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. Coaches honor the client as the expert in her or his life and work and believe every client is creative, resourceful and whole.
Standing on this foundation, the coach's responsibility is to:
-
Discover, clarify, and align with what the client wants to achieve
-
Encourage client self-discovery
-
Elicit client-generated solutions and strategies
-
Hold the client responsible and accountable
The coaching process supports clients to dramatically improve their outlook on work and life while improving their leadership skills and unlocking their potential.
HOW IS YOUR COACHING METHODOLOGY DIFFERENT FROM OTHERS?
I take a holistic approach to create a safe space for us to co-create our learning journey. It includes cognitive, emotional, relational, and somatic capacities beyond coaching tools and technics to bring my presence in our coaching conversations. My keen observation, active listening, and reflection skills allow individuals and groups to gain insights into their development by themselves.
My research-based coaching methodology draws on Adult Stage Development, Integral Theory, and Adaptive Leadership. One of the biggest learnings in my own development as a coach is that change doesn’t happen at the level of increased deliverables or greater focus on tasks. Emotional, somatic, and relational awareness are all essential for success and satisfaction in the workplace and beyond. I approach my coaching work from the heart and supports clients to connect to that place in themselves.
HOW DO I KNOW MY READINESS PRIOR TO OUR COACHING ENGAGEMENT?
This is a great question to start!
As you might be aware, it is a two-way relationship between coach and client. The client's readiness and desire to be in this journey are crucial to creating more possibilities and reaching the desired outcome. I would invite you to complete the attached one-page assessment to see where you are now.
